Our recommendations

Please be sure to order your food and supplements BEFORE you pick up your puppy so your are prepared for it's arrival.

FOOD & SUPPLEMENTS

Raw Dog food

Feeding raw is what we recommend and is very easy to feed. It can be purchased at most pet food stores or ordered on line. It is ground, and you just thaw and serve. We recommend a premade thaw and serve diet for your puppy if you are new to raw feeding. You need to purchase a complete mix to be sure your puppy is getting all of the nutrition it needs.

When you start out I recommend using a supplement until you feel comfortable feeding raw.

We are happy to help you with any raw questions or find a supplier.

NUVET supplements

Raw covers most of our nutritional needs but we use NuVet as a support for our pregnant females, competition dogs as well as our puppies before they go home. Anytime our dogs need a little extra something because their systems are working extra hard or to help deal with the stress of going to a new home for puppies.

A major cause of poor health in our beloved pets is the lack of proper nutrition with their diets.

NuVet supplements provide full-spectrum nutritional support that focuses on boosting your pet’s immune system and overall health. Keeping your pet’s immune system strong is crucial in today’s environment.

NuVet is a high-quality supplement that incorporates a precise formula of antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, herbs and more. NuVet brings together vital ingredients that perform synergistically to help improve your pet’s health and keep them healthy. This supplement is made using Natural ingredients that are formulated in a FDA Registered Facility using CGMP standards. NuVet ingredients and nutrients are compounded to maintain their integrity and bio-digestibility for complete cellular infusion. They use special “paddle dried,” whole chicken liver that provides vitamin potency, as well as a taste your pet will love.

They also carry items such as shampoos and ear cleaners.

toys we suggest.
For dogs, toys are not a luxury, but a necessity.

Toys are important to a dog’s well-being. Toys help fight boredom when your dog has to stay at home alone, and can provide comfort when they’re nervous. Toys will help prevent your dog from developing certain problem behaviors. Toys need to be safe and there are several factors to ensure safety, a number of them depend upon your dog's size, activity level and preferences. Although we can't guarantee the safety of any specific toy, safety depends on how they are used and how the dog is supervised. .Be sure to buy toys of appropriate size for your dog. Toys that are too small can easily be swallowed or become lodged in your dog's throat. Supervise your dog's play with squeaky toys: your dog may feel that they must find and destroy the source of the squeaking, which means they could ingest it if left unwatched. Discard toys when they start to break into pieces or are torn. Remember that soft toys are not indestructible, but some are sturdier than others. Soft toys should be machine washable. Your dog should never be left unsupervised with a stuffed toy., rope or fabric type toy. They are ok to play with supervised.
There are lots of wonderful toys out there. These are just a few we have found to be both useful and loved by our dogs and puppies.

TOYS

KONG

Mentally stimulating toy offering enrichment by helping satisfy dogs’ instinctual needs Great for stuffing Snacks or food, or yogurt and frozen .

food dispensing toys

There are many different food dispensing type toys. These toys are mentally stimulating food dispensers. The toy is nudged by the dog’s paw or nose, dispensing tasty rewards as it moves. The unpredictable movement stimulates natural instincts keeping even the most seasoned users challenged. They can also be used as an alternative to a dog bowl to help extend mealtime while providing exercise for your dog.

stuffed/ rope toys

Soft fabric stuffed or unstuffed or rope type toys should NEVER be left with your dog when unsupervised. They can quickly choke or eat the fabric or stuffing. They are wonderful toys for your dog to play with while under supervision.

balls/frisbees/ launchers

Balls, ball launchers and frisbees can be used for hours of fun and great exercise for your dog. Always be sure that the balls you are using are big enough that the dog can not swallow them and choke. Frisbees should not be used as a chew toy as chunks can come off and be swallowed.
